Sunday Night enjoying Rongali Bihu in Delhi 2015 (Cultural programme)
We have already lost our traditional festive in India. If it is sounds awkward, but its true that we all have forgot to celebrate our traditional festive because of study pressure, job far from home, work pressure and so on. As we all know without money you can achieve nothing in this world. But happiness comes from inside and that’s the reality. After reaching, we exit from the Gate no. 2 and then walk for 5 mins towards the venue at Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA). We heard of some ‘dhol beats’ from far and we were so excited and after reaching the venue we found some groups dancing and enjoying Bihu on the stage.
We saw almost everyone wore traditional attire and seeing that we were jealous. But we controlled ourselves and then diverted our mind and busy enjoying the function.
From adult to children participated on the stage show. They selected songs of Bhupen Hazarika, who was one of the world famous singer and poet whose song was liked by worldwide. I was touched by his songs and feel proud that I attended such function.
After enjoying some program we moved to other side for North-East food. The food was just mouthwatering as there were varieties of food stall cooked in traditional way. We went near to the food stall and tasted some foods that remembered me of my mother. The foods were awesome and gave the same flavor as home town Assam. Some dishes that I want to mention are –
