Mouth-watering trip to Paraathe Wali Gali/Lane

The story begins here – In the year 1872, Pt. Gaya Prasad Shiv Charan back bagged his own residence from Agra to Delhi and established a shop of paraathas that is located in the Kinari Bazaar in Chandni Chowk, Old Delhi. At that time there were no metros or buses to reach that place easily. But now as the growth of technology, best way to reach the place is by metro. Chandni chowk metro station is the nearest metro station to reach paraathe wali gali. The business of paraathas becomes so famous year after year that it is now one of the most famous gourmets in the world.

If you are taking tour towards Old Delhi, don’t miss the ‘paraathe wali gali’. It is a by lane of fried bread or paraatha makers. You will find different types of food cooked differently whether its vegetarians or non-vegetarians. Some dishes are made without onion or garlic. All sorts of paraathas are made with exotic fillings like – kaju, badam, matar, Mix Paranthas, rabri, khoya parantha, gobhi parantha, etc. that are served with some awesome sweet chutneys, famous vegetable pickles and others. For paraatha lovers Old Delhi is a must place to visit. No doubt it is the most crowded and nostalgic place in Old Delhi.
